Ultrasound

Using sound waves, we visualise the tissue and in particular the vascular structures. Previously placed fillers can also be brought into view and, where necessary, dissolved with precision. Ultrasound provides enhanced safety and precision.

Ultrasound during a cosmetic treatment

education

trainer

Ayleen teaches fellow cosmetic doctors. As an interventional radiologist, the use of ultrasound is a natural extension of her expertise – expertise she also brings to the field of cosmetic medicine.

During treatments

Indications

Ultrasound aids in making diagnoses and serves as an adjunct to cosmetic treatments.

Precise placement

Vessels and nerves are mapped beforehand. We know exactly where we place the product – and where we don't.

Safety

To reduce the risk of complications.

Dissolving filler

Fillers you'd rather be without? We pinpoint exactly where they are – and dissolve them with precision.

Analysis of previous treatments

Not sure where filler still sits or which type it is? We can take a look for you.

What to expect

The procedure.

  1. Gel & probe

A thin layer of gel on the area to be examined. No anaesthetic, no pain – just a little cool.

  2. Real-time scan

We visualise vessels, tissues, and any previously placed fillers.

  3. Discussion & treatment

We explain what we see. For a filler treatment, we then proceed with the scan as our guide. Sometimes this also means a treatment cannot go ahead.

Ultrasound

ultrasound as second nature

Ultrasound makes cosmetic treatments safer and more precise — reducing the risk of bruising and tissue damage. In addition, previously placed fillers can be visualised and dissolved with precision.
